Privacy

Last updated 14 May 2026

bacc.at is a static publication. The server records standard HTTP access information for each request: source IP address, timestamp, requested path, HTTP status code, bytes sent, referring URL, the User-Agent string sent by your client, and the request duration.

This information is used to understand readership patterns — particularly to distinguish human readers from automated agents, and to observe which documents in the suite are being consulted.

What we do not do

Geographic inference

Approximate geographic location is inferred from the source IP address using the MaxMind GeoLite2 database, at country and city level only. No attempt is made to identify individual readers.

Retention

Access logs and derived event records are retained for 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
